PASMA

Founded in 1974, the Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), is the recognised focus and authority for mobile access towers.
As such it advances safety, standards and best practice across a wide range of sectors and represents the interests of manufacturers. It provides and governs the industry standard training scheme for mobile access towers. deliver proficiency and competence as required by the Work at Height Regulations. For many, the PASMA certificate and ID card are the only acceptable proof of competence.

UKATA

UKATA sets standards in asbestos training and ensures that its members meet those standards.
It is legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training. If they will intentionally work on asbestos they must have had appropriate training specific to the tasks they will undertake.

UKPia / SPA

The petroleum industry handles potentially hazardous products and therefore a top priority is health, safety and sound work practices.
Working on petrol filling stations presents some special issues, not least the safety of the public. For this reason UKPIA and its members have helped develop a self-regulatory scheme to ensure that workers in the industry and particularly contractors working on forecourts, are trained to meet specified standards.

Working at Height

Working at height remains one of the biggest causes of fatalities and major injuries. Common cases include falls from ladders and through fragile roofs.
Work at height means work in any place, including at or below ground level (for example in underground workings), where a person could fall a distance liable to cause injury. All Staff at Best Roofers are trained and hold indate certificates for Working At Height.
